Soil Blocking Class
Apr

Soil Blocking Class

Soil Blocking Class provided by Gabby Sexton

Soil blocking is a seed-starting method where seedlings are grown in compressed cubes of soil rather than traditional plastic trays or pots. These soil blocks are made using a soil blocker tool, which compresses soil mixture into sturdy, self-supporting blocks.

Soil blocking promotes healthier root systems, reduces transplant shock, helps with moisture control and is more space efficient for gardeners starting lots of seeds at once.

This is a great method for starting plants that are known to be very sensitive to root damage and transplant shock.
